Once in the well it will not take any time for them to work their way into your basement. If you have several insects crawling around your yard as a means of insect pest control, before applying commercial insecticides, take jar lids and fill them with sweet-smelling carbonated beverages. The insects will love the taste, but the acid in the soda is detrimental to their health.
